Greening of the desert

Yesterday I found this lovely vintage Indian scarf at my favorite thrift store, which was closing for the summer and marked everything at 50 percent off ~ so this was $2. It's a beautiful desert-summer-green cotton, pale, with tiny sequins and one rhinestone decoration. The hem is hand-rolled and sewn

The desert here is also greening up, after an unusual late May rain  . . . usually in June it is dry, bone dry, and plants are withered and brown. But now, even the ocotillos have leaves.
